Admission

Applications for admission to the doctoral program are open all year.

Application steps:

1) Applicants must hold an MSc, MEng or Integrated Master degree from a university of Greece or an equivalent title awarded by a foreign university and recognized by DOATAP, the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center; the corresponding foreign titles and foreign institute registries (lists) can be searched therein at www.doatap.gr/home_english/.

If the foreign titles possessed or the awarding foreign universities are not listed in the registries, the applicant must contact the Postgraduate Programs Secretariat of the School (phone: +30 2821037161, e-mail: pem_phd@tuc.gr) which will forward copies of the applicant's transcripts of academic records to support an application to DOATAP for recognition; as of 2023 the official response times to such requests range from one week to two months.

2) Individuals interested in pursuing doctoral studies must contact a potential PhD supervisor to discuss the dissertation proposal. The supervisor must be a PEM faculty member. The faculty member must have approved the subject of dissertation and agreed to serve as supervisor before the submission of application.

3) Applications are submitted through the Postgraduate Applications portal. The application must be supported by copies of the following documents: degrees earned and corresponding grades, at least level B2 (very good) English language certification or completion of a program of study taught in English, curriculum vitae, dissertation title and summary, research statement, applicant's photo, and two recommendation letters from academic references.
